AROA Staff Biographies

Brenda Holbert-Fernandez, APRN, BC

As a certified nurse practitioner and an oncology certified nurse, Ms. Holbert-Fernandez strives to provide individualized, comprehensive care to her patients. She holds an undergraduate nursing degree from Stephen F. Austin State University and was awarded a Master's Degree in Nursing from the University of Texas Medical Branch in Galveston in 1999. She also has certifications in IV Therapy and in Advanced Cardiac Life Support.

In the past she has mentored nurses at SFA and has been a speaker at various cancer support groups. In addition, she served on the Board of Nurse Examiners nursing practice advisory committee for three years.

Ms. Holbert-Fernandez divides her time between the Temple Cancer Center and the Laird Cancer Center.

She and her husband Peter reside in Nacogdoches and have four children.
