Established in 1993, the Power of Pink! (formerly known as the Jan Moore Memorial Lecture on Breast Cancer) is a luncheon event held annually in October to educate women on various breast-cancer related topics. Funded in part by Raymond Moore in memory of his late wife Jan Moore, the popular luncheon hosts approximately 300 women. Topics have ranged from risk analysis to treatment, healing and advocacy (see below).
The 2007 Power of Pink! is slated for Wednesday, October 18 at 11:30 am in the Lufkin Civic Center. The speaker is Suzie Humphries. Tickets will go on sale approximately 3 weeks prior to the event. For more information, please contact Jane Ainsworth at 936.635.3959.
